This section provides an overview of EU and candidate countries’ exports and re-exports of CITES-listed species in 2010, particularly in direct exports of wild-sourced native species and species traded in high volumes. Of the three candidate countries that had submitted an annual report by the time of writing, only Croatia and Turkey reported any (re-)exports. As in the rest of the analysis, trade in artificially propagated Appendix-II plants, re-exports of manufactured articles and trade reported as seizures/confiscations (source ‘I’) have been excluded.
